Conservation Lobby Day

Conservation Lobby Day 2012
Wednesday, February 29
Missouri State Capitol Building
8:30am – 4:00pm

Each year, Missourians gather at the State Capitol to make help educate legislators on the importance of smart environmental policy. From environmentalists, scientists, students and business-owners to hunters, anglers and farmers, this is an important opportunity to share your passion for the environment and have a big impact on environmental policies affecting Missouri.

We’ll set up small group meetings with legislators, train you on the “how to’s” of citizen lobbying, and provide you with a delicious local/organic lunch. You’ll have the opportunity to experience first-hand how policy-making works and voice your support of green building, local food, clean water, and state parks.

Conservation Lobby Day is a partnership of the Missouri Conservation and Environmental Alliance, a statewide coalition organizations working together to bring a common voice to the conservation and environmental community in Jefferson City.
