The U.S. Green Building Council website has extensive information on green building initiatives for community leaders, non-profits, neighborhoods, homeowners and all levels of government:
  1. USGBC - St. Louis Region
  2. Government Resources - Access to best practices, lessons learned and other initiatives already in place across the country.  USGBC is committed to supporting federal, state and local governments in  their pursuit and development of green building programs.
  3. Public Policy - Public Policy Search database
  4. Green Building Research - valuable links to Research Publications, LEED Project Case Studies, Green Building links, and the Green Building Research Fund.
  5. Green School Building - Resources on creating healthy school environment that is conducive to learning while saving energy, resources and money.

  7. Playbook for Green Buildings and Neighborhoods - provides local governments with guidance and resources to rapidly advance green buildings, neighborhoods and infrastructure.

  5. Text of Nevada AB 621. Through this bill, the Nevada State Office of Energy adopted an energy efficiency requirement and a LEED standard; passed in 2007.

  1. U.S. Department of Energy, Building Energy Codes Program, Status of State Energy Codes. Information on commercial and residential energy codes in all states. Click on Missouri for detailed information.  Missouri is one of a few states that do not have state-wide codes.
  2. Building Codes for Energy Efficiency. U.S. EPA. This fact sheet describes the benefits of building energy codes and gives recommendations on implementation.
