MO Voters get chance to vote on renewable energy — again.

On Nov. 4, 2008, 1,777,500 Missouri voters decided that they wanted the state’s investor-owned utilities, such as Ameren Missouri, to start producing a greater percentage of their electricity from renewable sources, such as wind and solar energy.

The vote wasn’t close, with 66 percent of voters sending a clear message; the ballot measure had no serious opposition. But next November, Missouri voters probably will be asked to make the same decision all over again.
